Typically obedience training takes 45 days. Dogs that are slower to advance may require additional time. The 45 day training fee is $600.00. This includes boarding, feeding of a premium dog food, and training. Dogs can begin training as early as six months of age. |
 Program
In our program we will teach the basics- sit, stay, come and walking on leash. More advance training of off leash walking, down and off will also be presented but may require additional time.

We suggest that for the first month you leave the dog with us so the dog may become familiar with the trainer and the new routine. During the next weeks we would like you to come weekly so we may work with you and your dog together. This will help teach you the commands in obedience and how to properly handle your dog. The training sessions should be scheduled a few days ahead of time.
Covered Training Area
The first month fee is due in advance. All subsequent bills are mailed the first of the month and payment is due by the 10th. It is required that you pay any balance due at the time you pick up your dog, unless other arrangements have been made. If you wish to take your dog home temporarily for weekends, holidays, vacations, etc. please call ahead to let us know of your plans.

Providing your dog with excellent care
We will provide your dog with excellent care and supervision. Occasionally, however, there may be an injury or illness over which we have no control. In such cases we shall not be held responsible for those incidents.

We will assume the right to obtain veterinary services as deemed necessary for your dog while in our care. We will advise you beforehand, if possible, as to a medical problem. If there is an emergency situation we will act accordingly. Any veterinary expense incurred will be billed to you.

| Gun Dog Training |
Waterfowl and upland hunting training.
Typically gun dog training takes a minimum of three months. Dogs that are slower to advance may require additional time. The monthly training fee is $500.00. This includes boarding, feeding of a premium dog food, and training. Not included in this fee, are live birds, and veterinary expenses. Dogs can begin Gun dog training as early as six months of age.

Our Program
In our program we will teach the basics of waterfowl and upland hunting including the needed obedience. By the end of the program the dog should be steady in the blind, hunt up a bird that they have seen fall, and deliver to hand. The dog will also be started on quartering, flushing, and retrieving upland birds. The needed obedience commands will include sit, stay, down, heel, and come when called. All commands will be given both verbally and with a whistle. We use a choke chain and leash to teach obedience and an electronic collar to reinforce known commands. We believe that the proper use of the electronic collar is the most effective way to teach dogs to come when called, in any situation, and to stay in gun range when upland hunting.
We can also train dogs to do blind retrieves and take hand signals. This advanced training is not for all dogs and can take two to three additional months.
